Anvil Agrinomics at MJBizCon 2025: Building Real Connections Beyond the Expo Floor

MJBizCon once again proved why it remains the most important annual gathering for the cannabis industry. For Anvil Agrinomics, this year’s event wasn’t just about walking the expo floor—it was about meaningful connection, shared experiences, and strengthening relationships across the cannabis ecosystem.

From sponsoring a standout community event to connecting with clients and partners both inside and outside the convention center, Anvil Agrinomics’ MJBizCon experience reinforced that progress in this industry is built through trust, collaboration, and long-term relationships—not just time spent on the show floor.

Light Up Las Vegas: Sponsored by Anvil Agrinomics

A highlight of the week for Anvil Agrinomics at MJBizCon was sponsoring the PufCreativ x Fat Nugs Magazine Light Up Las Vegas event. Designed to bring industry professionals together in a relaxed, off-floor setting, the evening also served a larger purpose—raising funds for Freedom Grow, an all-volunteer nonprofit advocating for individuals and families impacted by cannabis prohibition.

Thanks to the collective support of the community, the event raised $10,000 for Freedom Grow. For Anvil Agrinomics, the night reflected core values: collaboration, community, and supporting initiatives that move the industry forward in tangible ways. It was an opportunity to reconnect with longtime partners, meet new peers, and celebrate the resilience of the cannabis space.

Building Relationships On and Off the Expo Floor

While MJBizCon’s expo hall was buzzing with innovation, technology, and new product launches, the Anvil Agrinomics team focused on what matters most—people. Throughout the week, the team met with clients and partners during on-floor conversations, off-site meetings, dinners, and informal gatherings.

These conversations allowed for deeper discussions around cannabis facility engineering, operational challenges, and long-term planning. Rather than quick sales pitches, the focus was on understanding where cannabis operators are today, where they’re headed, and how thoughtful engineering and facility design can support sustainable growth.

As Founder Jim Megerson shared during the week:

"It's not really about the expo, it's about an event where the industry, clients, and operators can come together once a year. The expo is just a vehicle."

That perspective guided the team’s entire MJBizCon experience—prioritizing genuine connection over spectacle and meaningful discussion over surface-level engagement.

Making Time for the Outdoors in Nevada

Las Vegas offers more than convention halls, and the Anvil Agrinomics team made a point to step outside the typical conference rhythm. Between meetings, the team carved out time for frisbee golf, hiking, and exploring the surrounding desert landscape.

These outdoor moments provided a welcome reset during a fast-paced week and created opportunities for informal conversations and creative thinking. Often, it’s these unstructured settings that lead to the most impactful relationship-building.

What Comes Next

As the cannabis industry continues to evolve, Anvil Agrinomics remains committed to supporting operators with practical, experience-driven engineering solutions. MJBizCon was an opportunity to reflect on how far the industry has come—and to look ahead to what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who connected with us at Light Up Las Vegas, on the expo floor, and beyond. We look forward to continuing the conversations that started in Las Vegas and building on the momentum in the months ahead.
